I thought that Home Depot’s whole “order online, we’ll have your shit ready in a couple hours” actually meant that I could order online and they’d have my shit ready in a couple hours. Ninja edit: My ordre is ready, not two point five hours after they close. Chicken fuckers.
In other news, I only have one bathroom right now. I haven’t slept in dayse either. Kinda going stir crazy and getting a bit punchy. You can take the guy out of the Elvis, but the Elvis won’t come out of the guy, guy.

HD AND LOWESt both have screwed up numerous times for me. Damaged special orders or missed promise dates. Lowes seems to always damage my special orders ... doors , cabinets , countertop ...anything.
I’ve just started to get stuff for any project a month in advance because if you need it the same week its not happening. I stood at the HD service desk once for over an hour while they searched high and low for a special order only to find it was behind the desk on a dolly with about 6 of someone else’s items. So much for efficiency.

If you think that’s bad let me save you from REAL disaster. Never, EVER! Under ANY circumstances decide to buy, and have something installed by Home Depot. Not doors, not windows, not even carpet.

I did that once. Called in an order of almost $2000 for work, using their contractor services, cause we needed stuff ASAP. And the only store that had some of the stuff in stock was 200 miles away. So, phone it in, pay for it over the phone and they tell me they’ll have it together well before I could possibly make it there, hop in the truck, find a trailer, drive 200 miles, show up at the store an hour later than I told them I’d be there, and they haven’t even picked the order yet.
Like seriously, when you’re the only place in the province that has it, and I’VE ALREADY PAID FOR IT, you can’t just leave it sitting on the shelf while I drive 200 miles to come get it!
